You have heard about the decline in bees in the media and wonder whether you might like to keep bees – or simply want to learn a little more about these fascinating insects. If so this day long introduction to bees and beekeeping is for you. |
This taster day will feature· Lectures by Martin Smith Chairman of the British Beekeepers Association on? Honey bees, bumble bees and wasps? The cost & time involved in beekeeping? The life cycles of queen, worker and drone bees? Where can I keep bees?· Talks by Barbara Roderick, President & Education Officer of Lancashire & North West Beekeepers association on? Local beekeeping groups in the area? Support for new beekeepers? How new beekeepers actually get bees to get started |
