Who We Are

We are people from all ages, different backgrounds but interested in the life of bees. Local existing members  come from Fleetwood, Lytham, Blackpool, Kirkham, Poulton, Hambleton, Pilling and Garstang but we welcome everyone.

In our monthly meetings we have talks from experts on beekeeping, biology, natural history, flora and fauna, microscopy, entomology and of course associated products such as honey and wax.  Bees need our help because they under threat from climate change, modern farming methods, environmental pressures  plus various pests and diseases. Nearly all the honey bees that you might come across will be from a managed hive. There are almost certainly no wild honey bees left
